Mama's Getaway To Montigo Resort

Tuesday, February 21, 2017

Hello! I just got back from a short trip to Montigo with my girlfriends to celebrate one of the girl's birthday ♥︎ Been wanting to visit after seeing so many pretty pictures online, and am so glad we finally made it there!

(If you don't know where/what is Montigo, its a luxury resort in Batam!
*Tip: Take the ferry to Nongsapura Terminal - there's a free shuttle service to the resort there)
With the girls ♥︎

The villa was hugeee and the view was amazing ~ Would definitely consider going back again with my family, think Kayla would really love this place!

So glad we managed to capture a bunch of amazing shots before I met with an accident there heh. I actually fell down some stairs on the 2nd day and ended up at the hospital after fainting twice with spasms. The turn of events was so crazy, but the staff at Montigo was amazing, they really went above and beyond to make sure I was okay :)

Me in bed with a neck collar on while waiting for the ambulance to arrive heh~

So touched by this personalised fruit basket, can't believe she even took the extra effort to print out my photo

With Windi, the girl who made sure everything ran smoothly and took such good care of us!

Sharing some pictures of the villa below ~
I've stayed in a couple of villas in other cities before, but this is by far the biggest one - 3 storeys high with a private pool!

There were 2 bedrooms, so 3 of us shared this one while the other 2 girls shared another room :) We all agreed that the beds were very comfortable!

There was a cute little hut linked to our villa as well because we got the "spa villa" hehe

This was taken by our pool during sunset :)

Another pool by the beach club, seriously stunning views everywhere heh ~

There's a jetty bridge at the beach club area, super perfect place for photos haha! We saw a couple enjoying a romantic private dinner at the end of the jetty as well, so dreamy :)

The restaurant for breakfast is just next to the beach club - pretty extensive selection

There's also a small shop around that area if you want to buy some snacks or souvenirs :)

Kid's pool

We also checked out the kids club and pool to see if its suitable for us to bring our babies there next time ~ The kids club was really cute, its like a treehouse with slides leading down to a ball pit and to a mini sprinkler pool! There are also float rentals available for the kids pool, the super cute whale and giant donut kind hehe

Even though I was injured and spent most of the second day in the hospital and lying down, the trip was still an enjoyable one. Honestly very impressed with the service and I had a good time bonding with my girlfriends as well ♥︎ Am also super touched D rushed over that night just to make sure I was okay and helped me to carry my bags home hehe ~ This experience made me appreciate those around me so much more so I guess everything happens for a reason!

  6. Most people would visit Montigo Resorts Nongsa for the private pool. Honestly, I would say it is worth it. The private pool is bigger than you think. Montigo Resorts Nongsa has one of the biggest hotel room I have ever stayed. The staff there provides excellent customer service. I dare say almost all, if not all of them could speak English.

  7. Like the other reviews have stated, customer service is really their forte. All the staff spoke English and were very attentive. Mosquitoes weren't really a problem as every room had air repellents and repellent cream if we needed it. Overall an excellent relaxing escape.

  8. It's a great place to relax and get away from the city life. I would like to compliment Windi who is a staff there who helped with our check in and all little requests we had throughout our stay in montigo Resort. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. Nothing to complain about this place.
