Park Hyatt Istanbul Mackas Palas
Spent 3 nights at this beautiful hotel and I'd highly recommend this place to everyone who's considering visiting Istanbul :)

After reading a whole lot of negative experiences online, I did quite a bit of research on the safest area to stay in Istanbul (I'm quite paranoid about safety especially if I'm visiting a country for the first time!) and finally decided on Park Hyatt.

Park Hyatt is located in an area called Nisantasi (in Sisli district, European side) and is one of Istanbul's most exclusive neighbourhoods. The streets are lined with beautiful cafes and luxury stores like Chanel and Louis Vuitton. The St Regis (which was another hotel I was considering staying at) is just a few minutes walk from Park Hyatt!

The whole area feels safe and at night the trees are lighted up with fairy lights! Super pretty :)

There's also a small shopping mall just 5-10mins away from the hotel where you can get some daily necessities or shop at stores like Zara, Mango and GAP.

The room is very spacious and has a beautiful vintage vibe to it. There's also a small balcony!

We ordered in room service everyday and the portions are huge!

There's a beautiful restaurant located right outside the hotel and the food there is AMAZING. Please try their signature lamb kebab! Highly recommend!

If you'd like to have a fancy dinner, SPAGO by Wolfgang Puck at St Regis is a great choice as well! And it's so convenient because it's literally just a 5mins walk away :) The food is good and affordable, and there's a stunning view of the city as well!

Even though this hotel is not located at the main tourist attractions site, you can easily take a taxi to the Asian side or Taksim Square, it's not too far away. I used the Bitaksi App to call for taxis and it worked perfectly for me! I like that the area around our hotel feels safe to walk around at night so we'd usually come back to this area for dinner and shop around a little before heading back to our room :)

Tip:
We spent about 165euros engaging a private airport transfer from the hotel. The service was superb, the staff came all the way into our arrival gate to pick us up in a buggy and ferried us to the immigration counter. At the counter we were given priority clearance and they helped us pick up our bags. Was so impressed with the service!

However, if you feel like you don't need such an elaborate service, a simple private airport transfer at a fraction of the cost with a decent Volkswagen 7-seater is also available! We tried that when we were checking out and it was safe and comfortable too :)
